In this newly created role, we are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Head of Operations for our client Human Practice Foundation, a uniquely innovative, business-oriented, and entrepreneurial organization.
Since 2014, Human Practice Foundation has grown into a global organization with registered Foundations in Denmark, Switzerland, UK and Sweden. The foundation builds and renovates schools in areas of greatest need, currently focusing on Nepal and Kenya – as well in Denmark via their Inner Strenth Program. They also provide tutor programs to train local teachers and support local communities in growing coffee and tea through specific projects..
The Position
As Head of Operations, you will oversee the implementation and monitoring of the foundation’s projects in Nepal, Kenya, and the Inner Strength program. You will ensure effective project execution, team performance, and project development while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution:
- Co-responsible for the country strategies and development of country programs for Kenya, Nepal, and Inner Strength
- Define project and development goals for each region
- Work closely with Country Directors to ensure timely and on-budget project implementation
- Lead project management systems and development using Power BI and Salesforce
- Continuously optimize project workflows and processes
- Ensure high standards in monitoring and evaluation, including the annual Impact Report
Communication
- Oversee project communication with donors, private supporters, and foundations
- Ensure high-quality project reporting to external stakeholders and partners
Fundraising Support
- Assist the fundraising team with project proposals and communication materials
- Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and CEO to develop fundraising initiatives for the projects
Administration & Financial Oversight
- Oversee the foundation’s project teams and offices in Nepal, Kenya, and Inner Strength (approx. 90 employees).
- Work closely with the CFO and CEO to manage project budgets and financial oversight.
- Ensure effective collaboration with the CFO for optimal financial management and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of policies and governance structures tailored to each country’s needs.
Travel of approximately 2 weeks per quarter should be expected.
Your Profile
You likely have a strong background in international project management and leadership, not necessarily within the NGO sector. You may have experience in management consultancy or an international company, leading various projects and managing remote teams.
