For our client Secomea, we are now looking for a passionate and talented Senior Product Owner to join their R&D department.

Responsibilities as Senior Product Owner
You will be responsible for defining and delivering high-quality products by working with developers, designers, testers, product manager and other stakeholders. It is the Product Owner’s responsibility to enable overall goals or product visions by breaking it into smaller segments user stories by collaborating with the onsite and remote Development Teams as well as Product Management.
It is important that you have a strong capability to help developers understand what needs to be built and why it is important to do so, drawing on your technical skills. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving the release planning and process and collaborating with Product Management and Solution Design.
Further responsibilities
- Managing the entire product lifecycle from design to development
- Own the Product Backlog, with a focus on maximizing product value and representing the needs of users
- Facilitate the agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective, and provide feedback and coaching to the team
- Identify risk and issues, communicate it to stakeholders and drive it to a resolution
- Accepting or rejecting completed work from the team based on acceptance criteria
- Track and report on product performance, addressing any issues affecting quality or user satisfaction, and optimize processes for improved efficiency
- Performing regular demos and gathering feedback from stakeholders and users
- Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
You will be one of four Product Owners at Secomea, and you will report directly to the R&D Director.
Your background includes
- At least 8 years’ experience in managing software requirements or product backlog
- Proficient research, analytical, and logical thinking and reasoning skills
- Strong technical understanding
- Decision making skills – what, why and when to prioritize a development.
- Proven ability to operate in an environment with ambiguity and to manage complex situations with multiple dependencies and constraints
- Able to build and maintain a strong working relationship with a variety of stakeholders from different functions within the business at all levels
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English
- Good UI/UX understanding
- Certified Product Owner certification and project management experience are preferred
