QA Engineering Lead in a Growing Cybersecurity Company

This exciting position offers the opportunity to make both a strategic and operational impact by modernizing and scaling the QA function across the organization

Our client Arbit Cyber Defense Systems is experiencing rapid growth, and we are now looking for an experienced and forward-thinking QA Engineering Lead to elevate quality practices and drive the next chapter of QA maturity at Arbit.

Leading a small and dedicated QA team, you will be responsible for modernizing Arbit’s existing testing processes, expanding automation capabilities, and championing a broader, company-wide QA strategy. This role bridges the gap between hands-on technical testing, test planning, and QA strategy, ensuring Arbit’s cyber defense solutions maintain the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance.

Arbit Cyber Defence Systems specializes in cybersecurity with a focus on network protection. They develop and produce a range of certified and accredited Cross Domain Solutions for high security networks. Their Data Diode and the Arbit TRUST Gateway solve the challenges of running high security networks as they ensure seamless transfer of data including integration with Multi Engine Virus scanning and Data Sanitization. Customers are primarily intelligence agencies, armed forces, police authorities and organizations within the defense industry.
The company is based in Hvidovre close to Copenhagen (and very close to the train station and highway).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire the QA team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and proactive problem-solving.

  • QA Modernization:
Evaluate and modernize the current testing workflows, methodologies, and frameworks to increase efficiency, test coverage, and release velocity.

  • Strategic Ownership:
Take responsibility for a broader test role across the company, aligning QA strategies with development, product, and operations to embed quality early in the lifecycle.

  • Automation Advancement:
Drive the evolution of Arbit’s automated testing pipelines, ensuring robust integration into their CI/CD environments.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:
Define and monitor company-wide quality standards, providing transparent metrics and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Hands-on Testing:
Remain technically engaged, participating in test planning and high-impact testing initiatives.

You will be part of a highly skilled R&D team and report directly to the CTO of the company.

Who are you?

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). We expect you to have at least 3 years of experience in software QA, including experience collaborating effectively within a QA team. Previous experience as a software developer would be considered an advantage.

Furthermore, you have a demonstrated track record of optimizing existing QA processes and successfully scaling automation frameworks.

You possess deep technical expertise in test automation engineering and modern testing frameworks (e.g., Python, PyTest, Selenium, Playwright). You also have strong experience integrating automated testing into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Experience transforming QA workflows in high-security, network, or defense-related environments would be an advantage, although this is not a requirement.

Relevant industry certifications would be ISTQB Test Manager, Agile/Scrum leadership or similar.

You are fluent in English, and have a working understanding of Danish.

Due to the high level of security, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level security clearance.
