For our client Napatech, we are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Product Architect to their growing Office of Technology team. You will get plenty of challenges being responsible for highly technical architectural tasks in your efforts to match the requirements of their global customers need.
Napatech was founded in 2003 and is experiencing rapid growth seeing a huge demand for their advanced products. Napatech is the leading global provider of programmable Smart Network Interface Cards (SmartNICs) and Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) used in cloud, enterprise and telecom datacenter networks. The Napatech Reconfigurable Computing Platform is based on a broad set of FPGA software for leading IT compute, network and security applications that are supported on a wide array of FPGA hardware designs.
As Product Architect, you will be setting the technology direction together with a team of highly skilled SW, FPGA and HW developers. You are responsible for development and maintenance of the technical solutions at product level used in one or more of the Napatech product lines. You will direct the development of the technical product solution through participation in cross functional product development teams with members from hardware, software, FPGA, system test, documentation, and project management.
During product development, you take a leadership role in a ‘project-triade’ which is established for all product development projects at Napatech. You are the owner of the technical solution in this triade and in close cooperation with the Project Manager and the Product Manager/Business Developer, you are accountable for successful delivery of the projects from conception to market launch.
Overall, the following tasks are included:

Compile product requirements for new software/FPGA/hardware solutions together with Product Management and customers/partners

Create and document system architecture together with the R&D team

Guide implementation of product architecture into working solutions together with the R&D team

Analyze and design new features and functionality together with the R&D team

Participate in continuous improvement of product architecture processes and tools to maximize productivity and quality

Participate in product development from idea to final release

Keep up to date with new technology and trends within the networking domain
Together with your peers in the Office of Technology you will participate in implementing “best-in-class” methodologies and tools for system architecture based on agile principles.
You will have the opportunity to engage with and influence leading international technology providers and customers as well as ecosystem partners in open source communities.
You will be reporting directly to their VP of Engineering.
We expect that your background and skills include:

Some years of experienceas Product Architect or System Designer originating from the networking industry. Alternatively, you have a strong background as Embedded Senior Software Developer with a keen interest to take your career to the next level as Product Architect.

Technical skills in creation of product architecture or system design for software/hardware based on networking products

Ability to transform complex conceptual ideas into feasible system designs

Knowledge of network protocols, e.g. HTTP, TCP, IP, Ethernet and insights into network virtualization technologies at software component level

Experience with embedded and/or driver software development would be preferable

A Master’s degree within Computer Science, Network, Engineering or similar

Fluency in English both written and spoken – and fluency in Danish would be a plus
You are a strong communicator and have experience in interacting with international customers and external partners at a technical level, and you are used to presenting technical solutions for customer.
