QA Engineer – Data Security Systems

Our client Arbit Cyber Defence Systems is experiencing rapid growth and now they are expanding their development group with a dedicated QA Engineer. 

We’re looking for a technically minded QA Engineer to join their development team of around 10 people. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to grow their testing skills while working with interesting Linux-based security systems. You’ll split your time roughly 50/50 between manual testing and building automation, working alongside Arbit’s senior QA coordinator in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment.

Arbit Cyber Defence Systems specializes in cybersecurity with focus on network protection. They develop and produce a range of certified and accredited Cross Domain Solutions for high security networks. Their Data Diode and the Arbit TRUST Gateway solve the challenges of running high security networks (disconnected/air gapped/galvanic) as they ensure seamless transfer of data including integration with Multi Engine Virus scanning and Data Sanitization. Customers primarily are in Intelligence, Armed Forces, National Government, Police and Defence Industry across Europe, North Africa, and Asia. 
The company is based in Hvidovre close to Copenhagen (and very close to the train station and highway).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Integration Testing: Test Arbit Data Diode and Arbit Trust Gateway data transfer. The systems run on Linux servers and interact closely with low level network interfaces and system services.
  • Web Application Testing: Validate system configuration interfaces and user-facing components
  • Test Automation: Build and maintain test automation pipelines, mostly implemented in Python and in run Gitlab CI/CD
  • Manual Testing: Perform exploratory testing on new features and system integrations
  • Customer Equipment Testing: Collaborate with Service Delivery to validate equipment before customer shipment
  • Tool Management: Work with Jira for test planning and GitLab for version control and CI/CD

The technical environment at Arbit include: 
Primarily Python and Bash scripting languages, Linux-based testing systems across various distributions, Kanban-style workflow methodology with quarterly releases. Their tools used are Jira, GitLab, various Linux testing utilities including Postman.

About you

You probably have a Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar. Maybe you have 1-3 years of experience – or you are newly graduated with relevant student job experience (QA, development, system administration, or related field). Also, you have experience with Python or other scripting languages. 

It is important that you have a strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset and are comfortable with Linux command line and system administration concepts. You are highly interested in learning QA methodologies and automation techniques. Furthermore, you are able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.

Fluency in English is necessary, and you understand and speak some Danish.

Due to the high level of security concerning Arbit customers as well as their own certifications, it is required that you can maintain a security clearance of level SECRET (HEMMELIGT).
