Build and lead an AI Lab from scratch for a WealthTech platform – and shape how AI transforms software, products, and decision-making

On behalf of our client Aleta, Bloom is looking for a visionary AI Innovation Lead to build and lead a dedicated AI Lab in their HQ in central Aarhus, Denmark.

The ambition is clear: Aleta aims to become an AI-first organization, where AI is embedded intelligently across products, processes, and decision-making. To support this, a dedicated AI Lab is being established to explore, build, and operationalize new ways of working with AI – not as side experiments, but as a core driver of how the company operates.

The Aleta AI Lab
The AI Lab will be established as a dedicated, autonomous unit in Aarhus, close to – but intentionally distinct from – the core engineering organization.

The AI Lab will have:

• A direct reporting line to the C-suite
• A clear mandate to challenge existing assumptions, stacks, and workflows
• Responsibility for translating frontier AI into real, scalable product value

Your mission and key responsibilities
As AI Innovation Lead, you will own the creation and evolution of Aleta’s AI Lab. From day one, you will:

• Build and lead a small, high-impact AI team, with the mandate to grow it over time
• Set the direction for how AI is applied across product, engineering, and operations
• Own the evolution of Aleta’s AI-first tech stack

Aleta operates from a set of strong beliefs:

• The future of software development is closer to natural language than classical programming
• Winning teams will master LLMs, agentic systems, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop design
• The best AI stacks are pragmatic and outcome-driven – not tool-driven

Your task is not to chase trends, but to build what works.

What you will do

• Build and operate the AI Lab as a high-impact delivery unit
• Translate AI capabilities into tangible product and operational outcomes
• Design, build, and evaluate AI-driven workflows, agents, copilots, and internal tools
• Work hands-on with modern AI stacks (LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, orchestration)
• Make architectural decisions in an evolving AI-native landscape
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to drive adoption
• Continuously challenge how things are done today

Success in this role means moving AI from experimentation to measurable impact.

• Have a strong technical understanding and are comfortable being hands-on
• Move fluidly between strategic, tactical, and operational levels
• Learn fast and thrive in high-expectation environments
• Thrive in the face of ambiguity and incomplete information

Strong fundamentals and a high learning velocity are key. Experience with finance or complex data domains is a plus, but not a requirement.
