Exciting key position designing and developing the software system from scratch
For our client ABH Optics, a Danish startup pioneering the optics industry, we are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join their team in Copenhagen.
ABH Optics is developing the world’s thinnest and lightest eyeglasses for individuals with severe myopia. Following a significant funding influx, the company is positioned for substantial growth.
The Role
This role as a software specialist offers you the opportunity to join a collaborative and passionate team focused on the development and manufacturing of ultra-lightweight eyeglass lenses. You will play an integral role in building the software system from its foundation, influencing the technological direction and future development of the software stack. The primary focus will be on data management and automation.
Your main responsibilities:
- Assume overall responsibility for design and implementation the software system
- Drive or support data science for product development
- Data integration and transformation
- Organize and ensure the accuracy of data
Your qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a software specialist, ideally within the optics or related medical industries
- Master’s degree in physics, technology, or computer science
- Strong proficiency in Python and Linux
- Ability to convert eyeglass prescriptions into data files with patterns – a set of three lithography patterns – that can be read by machines in the DTU NanoLab cleanroom
- Strong interest in cutting-edge technologies, systems engineering, and data management
- Documented experience collaborating with and supporting development engineers
- Results-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a risk-tolerant environment
- Value honesty, entrepreneurship, and open communication
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Danish language proficiency is a plus
